The Simple Word | Exodus 14 The Red Sea Parted
The Israelites, with heart full of dread, Beheld the sea, with waters ahead. Pharaoh’s army, fierce and near, Chased them down, instilling fear.
“Why did you bring us here to die?” They cried to Moses, asking why. “Didn’t we say, in Egypt’s land, It’s better to serve than take a stand?”
But Moses stood, a calm so still, He trusted God, against the ill. “Fear not, for the Lord will fight, Hold your peace, He’ll win this night.”
With staff in hand, Moses raised, The sea before them, dark and crazed. A wind blew strong, the waters split, A dry path laid where once they’d sit.
“Go forth, walk through, and don’t delay, The Lord will guide you all the way.” With faith in God, they marched ahead, Through walls of water, as they fled.
Pharaoh’s army, chasing fast, Were drowned beneath the waters’ blast. The sea closed tight, with waves so strong, And Israel sang a victory song.
